Of 'Event'ful Sporting Pur'suit's

It is that time of year again when I start ranting about how boring my days have been. Yeap, my holidays are here again! I am usually one of those rare species of people who actually find holidays boring and tedious. However, I beg to differ in this case. Suprisingly, it had been somehow 'event'ful. Somehow.

I spent three days of my holidays in Sitiawan, Perak, keeping my father company, and trying to find company for myself when he is out working. Apparently, the TV makes for good company. Especially as the Olympics have already started, I spent most of my mornings looking at people running, jumping, swimming, twirling, shooting and to an extent, booing. Olympics make for good TV, much better than some reality shows nowadays actually. I mean, how real can real be? Apparently, too real for a certain JAYEN from Petaling Jaya.

If he actually did get his way, the following sports will have to be banned from television: Athletics (too skimpy), Gymnastics (too gaudy), Basketball, Football, Badminton, Tennis, Hockey (just too much flesh!) and Swimming (huh? clothes? what clothes?). Hold on, that just leaves us with Fencing, Bowling and err... Shooting? Wow, and they want us to get ourselves more involved in sports. Looks like we have to wrap ourselves thoroughly first though!

The Olympics make for Good TV - Gold, Glory and Girls in Skimpy Clothes.

Sidenote: Don't you think Mia Audina, the Women's Badminton Singles Silver Medallist, looks like a particular IELTS teacher from KDU? Now thats reality TV for you! =)

Thanks for adding me in your blog! Anyway, I don't consider myself a genius. Wish I was though, but I think doing a whole lot of crappy stuff kinda spoils that reputation. =)
